What does your prop mean to you?
In my spare time, I enjoy making memories with my family visiting local beaches, playing Mario Kart, baking and bushwalking. My prop is a recent photo of my family at Fraser Island where we did a 20km walk to Lake McKenzie and back.
What church do you attend?
I’ve been attending Clarence Valley Independent Baptist Church for approximately 25 years.
What is the best thing about STACS?
I love the family feel at STACS. The staff genuinely care for students and each other.
What is the best gift you have ever been given?
A few years ago, my husband travelled to Sydney to bring me back a Hyundai Santa Fe. That was a great gift!
My career journey to arrive at STACS
I commenced work at STACS in 2017 as a teacher’s aide. My previous study and work experience were in the business and finance sector. I knew I had a call on my life to teach but with a young family at the time, study to become a teacher was not possible. In November 2019, with both children now in school, I began studying a Bachelor of Education K-12 Teaching online through the University of New England. In 2023, I commenced my teaching position at STACS.
