What does your prop mean to you?

Although having never lived in Newcastle, my dad’s family are from there and so I developed a passion for the Jets and the Knights. I also love to try, play or watch a variety of sports. There is almost nothing like the passion and emotions of live sport, either being played or watched. Plus – Coffee!

What church do you attend?

Clarence Valley Independent Baptist Church.

What is the best thing about STACS?

Working with great students and great staff. Being able to work as a team for the gospel of Christ.

What is the best gift you have ever been given?

Other than salvation, getting to marry my wonderful wife Amy, along with the birth of my two children, and the great joy that my family brings to my life.

My career journey to arrive at STACS

After finishing school, God laid out for me an 8 year plan. A gap year followed by Uni studying Primary teaching and then 3 years of Bible College provided me with many skills to help me serve the Lord. The following year I got married and then the next year I started here teaching Year 2/3 along with Year 7/8 Mathematics and PDHPE.

A significant Bible verse to me

1 Timothy 4:12: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

This verse is a great reminder that no matter what age, whether old or young, we can serve and honour Christ with our actions, our conversations and our lives.
