What does your prop mean to you?
Relationships, Refreshment, Re-creating. Since I was a kid I’ve played and watched many sports, and often being far too competitive in them! Since coming to faith in Jesus I’ve come to see as sports fantastic for relationships, but also being a way in which God restores and recreates me. My two young boys especially enjoy playing cricket in the backyard, and my wife Sarah is slowly coming to terms with the fact we all enjoy it.

What is the best thing about STACS?
I’m still new here, but I’ve already been appreciating the love and care shown relationally among the staff as we seek to teach and learn and model life and love for one another from a biblically Christian worldview.
What is the best gift you have ever been given?
The gift of faith in Christ: forgiveness, friendship with God and forever with Jesus and His people. It’s the gift that keeps on giving into eternity!
My wife Sarah and our two boys. Life is hard this side of the promised new creation, but I’m very thankful to have been gifted a family to love and to lead. I’m very glad life is not done alone.
My career journey to arrive at STACS
I’ve worked in development for the NSW AFL, and for the past 14 years in church pastoral ministry, and now I’ll be directly using the Education Degree I received before both of these!
A significant Bible verse to me
I love the Psalms, they give voice to God’s chosen people whatever our circumstances.
“The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup, you hold my lot.
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
Indeed I have a beautiful inheritance” (Psalm 16:5-6)
