St. Andrew’s Christian School 20 year Anniversary Celebrations were held over the long weekend. It was great to see a lot of ex-students and families in attendance. We had a BBQ on the Saturday afternoon followed by a Celebratory Dinner. A special mention must be made to our School’s First Principal, Mr Ken McCarron and his wife Leonie, Mr Richard Walker (Founding Member of the school) and our Board Chairman Mr Ray Dunlop who all came to Grafton for this occasion.
Congratulations to one of our Year 7 students, Justyn Pulis who has been specially selected to represent the Navy Cadets North Coast. Justyn will be attending a week long camp at HMAS Albertros in Nowra. Well Done Justyn.
St. Andrew’s Christian School Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday 22nd June 2018 at Barnier Oval, Pine Street, Junction Hill.
Students are required to be at the oval for roll call at 8.50am and are to be in either school sports uniform (please remember hats) or their house colours which are as follows: Marsh – Red; Stevens – Blue; Thorn - Green
We would also like to encourage parents who are able to transport their children directly to and from Barnier Oval on the day to do so. However, the school will supply transport for those students who are dropped off at school to Barnier Oval in the morning and return them to St. Andrew’s in the afternoon to catch their normal afternoon buses. The carnival will finish at approximately 2.30pm.
The cost of the Athletics Carnival will be $4.00 per child if they will require transport, or $2.00 if they will be attending with private transport.
The P & F will be running a canteen and a sausage sizzle lunch on the day and we would like to encourage as many parents/grandparents and carers to come along and support the students while enjoying a great day of fellowship.
Permission notes and money are to be returned to the school office by Wednesday 20th June (tomorrow).
Our Parent-Teacher evening will be held on Wednesday 27th June 2018 from 3:15-6:30pm.
Parent/Teacher interviews are an important part of the school calendar, bringing parents and teachers together for the benefit of the students and families in our school. Our teaching staff will be available for 15 minute timeslots. Please make your participation a priority.
HALF YEARLY REPORTS: The K-10 Half Yearly Reports will be hand delivered to parents at their appointments.
APPOINTMENTS: Please call the office (6643 4770) to book your time slot. Over the page you will find the list of teachers for each subject. All appointments will be in the Administration Building.
AFTERNOON TEA: A coffee van will be on-site between 3-5 pm with cappuccino, latte and hot chocolate for sale at a special price of $3.
Tea, coffee and homemade afternoon tea for the parents is also freely available outside the Administration building. Come along and meet other parents too.
UNIFORM SALE: We have numerous second hand uniform items which will be for sale on the day. This includes winter items, new shirts etc. $5-15 per item, cash only, no holds.
SUPERVISION: A supervised family DVD will play in the Preparatory classroom between 3-6:30pm. Children should be in this room or with parents. Please book your child into this service at the office. Please supply afternoon tea for your child during their visit.
