Congratulations to both our staff and student on our excellent NAPLAN results. In Year 5 the school came first in the Clarence Valley in both grammar and numeracy.
In Year 7 the school came first in the Clarence Valley in Reading, Writing, Spelling, Grammar and Numeracy. In Year 9 the school came first in Grammar. These results are due to training the staff has received in explicit instruction as a component of our involvement in the Literacy and Numeracy Action Plan. The school has also implemented the research based intervention program MiniLit, MultiLit and MacqLit.
