St. Andrew’s continues to have a great start to the 2018 school year with many activities during this term.
TAFE commences this week for students enrolled in TAFE HSC courses. Year 11 commenced on Monday 12th February with Year 12 commencing on Wednesday 14th February.
Our Years 7 & 8 Outdoor Education Camp at Brooms Head proved to be a great success. A special thanks to our School Chaplain, Mr Mick Schilling for his great efforts on behalf of our students.
Today we are holding our Annual Swimming Carnival at the Grafton Olympic Pool. It promises to be a great day of competition as all students from St. Andrew’s Christian School take to the water in a variety of events.
Roll call is at 8:50 a.m. and today’s events commence at 9:15 a.m.
Parents please note that Zone Swimming is split this year with separate Primary and Secondary carnivals. Primary swimming will be at Coffs Harbour on Monday 19th February and Secondary will be in Grafton on Thursday 1st March. Notes will be sent home tomorrow.
Meet The Staff Evening
On Wednesday 21st February 2018 the school will be holding an evening where parents can come along with their children and informally meet the staff of St. Andrew’s Christian School for 2018.
The evening will run from 5:00pm to 6:30pm in the school COLA and you will have the opportunity to informally chat to the staff member and tour the facilities.
At approximately 5:30pm, staff will serve a free sausage sizzle courtesy of St. Andrew’s Christian School Parents & Friends Association. Tea, coffee and cold drinks will also be served along with an ice cream for all parents and children who attend.

Years 11 and 12 will be travelling to the South Grafton High School on Thursday 22nd February to participate in a University showcase. There will be information regarding University applications, early entry schemes, scholarships, costs and accommodation as well as University and course specific information.
Students will leave part way through Period 1 classes and return at the end of recess. Normal classes will be running during the remainder of the day for students to attend as usual.
Full school uniform is required on the day. Travel will be by the school bus and private vehicles driven by a staff member to the venue.
There will be no cost for this excursion. Students will need to bring their own food as per a usual school day.
