Our school students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 successfully completed their NAPLAN Testing last week.
Last week the school enjoyed a visit from Rick Bell. Rick is the founder/director of the Bright Lights Christian School in the Philippines. The staff of St. Andrew’s financially support this great school which gives an education for the children of Manilla’s poor families.
Our school will be hosting a Biggest Morning Tea on Thursday 18th May (this week) outside the School Library for parents and carers to enjoy for a gold coin.
Cupcakes will be available for students to purchase at recess for $1 each.
This is a great opportunity to support a very worthwhile cause. With your help, we raised $550 last year – let’s see if we can match it or do ever better this year!
Our Prep and Primary Book Character Parade will also be held on the same day. The parade commences at 9.1 a.m. in the school library.
The students are to come dressed as their favourite book character and will be involved in a variety of activities through the morning. There will be prizes on the day.
The Scholastic Book Fair will also be running, selling a range of children’s books.
Parents are invited to join us for the morning’s activities and at conclusion join us for Biggest Morning Tea.
Next week our Year 11 students will be sitting their 1/2 Yearly Examinations. The timetable for these important examinations will be issued this week. Students are to carefully note the date and time of their exams.
